Fred Butler is a London-based accessories designer and props stylist whose unique one-off creations are fashioned from a wealth of wildly different materials and often incorporate re-imagined everyday objects. Her work has appeared in magazines, pop videos, films and fashion and lifestyle advertising campaigns. She lives in Londons buzzy East End and regularly updates fans about her eventful life and work on her popular blog.

Fred Butler explains her design inspirations. I first caught the Swatch bug when I was a little girl and my older sister got a multi-colour polka dot Pop Swatch. It's funny how the aesthetic of that design has played a part in informing my visual identity, and also set a passion for Swatch in my life! It's a dream come true to be working with Swatch on creat-ing my own design, which I hope in turn inspires others in the same way.

My message to spread colour through design fits perfectly with the house style of Swatch and the history of the brand. It has been a really exciting collaboration to hand over my initial design specifications to the Swatch team, to have fun with and realize. My approach to accessory design is to create objects that can decorate both your body and interior environment, so I really enjoyed developing the packaging in addition to the time-piece. I can't wait to wear it and see it out in the stores, glistening and shining its radiant rainbow beams!
