Today, you are in for a beautiful treat! If you are looking at this post, you already know what it is. It is the medium weight (about 9lbs), most highly regarded 2012 Gibson Les Paul Classic PLUS in the beautiful and most sought and RARE Trans Black finish. The top is absolutely beautiful as you can see, its somewhat flamey, and totally unique. It doesnt matter how you take a picture, the top is so prominent and figured; it always looks amazing.
It is in pretty much great condition aside from a very small blemish on the back (one quarter sized spot where lacquer is missing, with the area underneath totally smooth, not did it penetrate the wood; its just due to a buckle touching that spot) and some lacquer imperfection on the back of the neck that was caused by the guitar stand; please see pictures towards the end showing these imperfections. The lacquer didnt agree with the guitars stand and is discolored in those areas on the back.
They are on the back of the headstock/fretboard and dont affect playability whatsoever. If you are able to look pass these, then you can get an amazing, absolutely killer guitar with a beautiful top and in great condition at a KILLER price. The original frets show no wear really and the guitar is free of any chips, dings etc. It was never really soloed on as it was a rhythm guitar only.
These limited edition models didnt come with a pick guard installed, so no ugly holes were ever drilled in to this beauty. Everyone knows that these 2012 models are killer guitars and very underrated. Like mentioned earlier, new, this guitar cost a fortune and from me now, you can get it for much, much cheaper in very nice condition as well. The neck is the 60s slim neck that is not as slim as these new slim taper necks, but definitely slimmer than the 50s. The tone and sustain is simply ridiculous, but Ill let you be the judge.
Unplugged, the strings ring out loudly and endlessly and well above average and this is the way I determine the quality of my Gibsons. If it sounds good unplugged, its a keeper, and this one goes beyond that. Plugged in to my Marshall SL5 it is a match made in heaven and the tone and sustain is second to none.It has been set up, the frets are ready and it is ready to rock. Dont let this one slip away as I know it will not last and I speak from experience. Due to the very attractive price and the great condition of this guitar, I know that I will be contacted a lot and with that said, I wont be able to hold the guitar for anyone; itll be first come first serve. Furthermore, I reserve the right to end this sale at any time should my guitar sell locally or on other websites listed. Ive described this guitar to the best of my ability.
