Eugenia Lane UFDC 1983 Regional Conference 18 Doll Limited Edition Very Rare

  

Thank you for looking at this lovely lady! This particular doll became a "cult" figure in modern doll collecting. Because she was designed to look beautiful in clothes of many eras, she was very popular with dressmakers.

Eugenia Lane was made by doll artist Marilyn Stauber in 1983. She was the limited edition, souvenir doll for the UFDC Region 1 Conference held in Eugene, Oregon.

The town of Eugene is in. Lane County, and that's how she got her name. Eugenia's head, shoulders and arms are made of very smooth bisque.

Her arms are moveable below the shoulder, for posing and dressing. The stringing is a little loose, I think, but they still hold her poses. Her fingernails are painted a delicate pink. She wears an intricately styled mohair wig. There are no chips, marks, repairs, or scuffs that I can find on her.

She is clean with no stains or odors, from a smoke-free environment. She has spent her time with me displayed in a cabinet, in a room with no direct sun.

Eugenia is wearing a lovely hand-stitched satin slip. Her french split underwear appear to be vintage, and are in a very delicate condition, with holes here and there; but she came to me in them, and wanted to keep them. (See photos) Beneath her underwear are knit stockings that go all the way up her legs. She is also wearing a lovely pair of leather shoes.

Eugenia likes her unobtrusive saddle stand, and it will come with her. She will be insured, with tracking and signature required.
