Fiction: INTO THE OUT OF by Alan Dean Foster. There is rare and then there is this book. The first 25 copies of this book are a special edition -- this is copy #22 -- not just signed by the author and provided with a slipcase, but bound in the skin of cobras.

The spine strip and the corner reinforcements are snakeskin. You can feel the texture of the skins. If you're not into snakes, there is a definite "ick" factor.

Published by Warner Books, New York. 6 inches wide by 9 1/4 inches tall. Black cloth slipcase with a gold facsimile of Foster's autograph across one face. Black cloth covers with tan cobra skin spine strips and corner reinforcements, gold stamping on spine. The book's endpapers are cloth, not paper.

Condition: The slipcase is pristine, with light soiling. Edges show very light wear and the page edges show little soiling. Corners show light wear and are not bumped.

Spine edges are not rolled and show light wear. Inner pages are barely tanning and are still supple. No stampings or scribings within the book. No pages appear to be missing.

Superb condition for this book.
