Field Notes Limited Edition 09 Balsam Fir. Single Winter 2010 VERY RARE Notebook.

Each Balsam Fir single memo book features white, high-gloss, foil-stamped type on a 100# French Paper Company Speckletone Olive cover. The inside cover is printed in "Wet Bark Black" and the graph paper is lined in a sweet Coniferous Green. The hot-foil stamping is a new process for us.

Think of a heavy, fresh snow on the boughs of a proud Midwestern fir tree. Proudly printed by the good people of Service Graphics, Inc. 100#C Speckletone "Olive" with white leaf stamping and a thick, brute-force application of "Wet Bark Black" soy-based Toyo ink.

Innards: Finch Paper Opaque Smooth 50#T "Bright White, " with a fine, 1-Color application of "Coniferous Green" soy-based Toyo ink. Inside cover printed on a Mitsubishi 28 6-color printing press. Outer cover white leaf stamped with a Brandtjen & Kluge model EHE.

Innards printed on a Miller TP104 28" × 40" 2-color printing press. Binding by a Heidelberg ST350 "Stitchmaster" 8-pocket saddle stitcher. (9.5mm) by a CRC round-corner machine. Graph grid: 3/16" × 3/16" (4.7mm × 4.7mm).

Memo book dimensions are 3½" × 5½" (89mm × 140mm). Uses only the Futura typeface family (Paul Renner, 1927) in its materials. Memo books are printed and manufactured in the U.
