Hello snowboard and art collectors! Giger Pyramid snowboard that I've had since purchasing new in the 90's. It has hardly been used, is in great condition, and has been stored in my home for 25+ years. I have hung on to it all these years, because it's a unique and rare deck and it looks amazing. I had a hard time finding information on the board until the owner of the company contacted me recently after seeing my post and was kind enough to provide me with a lot of information on the board and company.
It was made at the ASM factory in Burlington, Washington in Feb. 1996, and is a reissue of a 1994 board that was 159 cm. The board is # 29 of a limited edition that was made that year.
The company made 3 tiers of decks (A, B, C quality). A being the best, C being the least quality. This board is an A model.C boards were made for rentals. The board has an interesting history, and is, indeed, a rare collector's item.
Giger's son began making snowboards in Austria in 1997. If you have any questions, please ask. This item is in the category "Sporting Goods\Winter Sports\Skiing, Snowboarding & Snowshoeing\Snowboards".
