Debuted in 1970 with Heibon Punch. As a cover artist for Futaro Yamada's Kadokawa Bunko Ninpocho series, he left a vivid impression by drawing the world of Futaro's Ninpocho where eros and cruelty coexist. He is one of the painters who symbolize the underground era of the 70's. His painting style, which is said to be a modern ukiyo-e, has many enthusiastic fans overseas, and he has held solo exhibitions many times in the United States and France.
