This incredible piece has been impeccably cast in bronze and sits atop a handmade wooden base made from trees on Wegner's property local to the Blue Ridge Mountain area, is patinated or painted in stunning colors that accentuate the nature of the piece, and is #8 of only 10 pieces ever made. Most of Wegner's series number into the hundreds making this truly an exceptionally rare and limited example of his work. Wegner's style, known as'fragmentation', makes his works unique in their own regard with rare pieces like this one fetching much higher realized prices.
Sculpture measures 13" tall x 10" wide x 8 deep and is signed and numbered 8/10 in the bronze by Paul Wegner himself. You simply won't find his work outside of private collections, auctions, or word of mouth most are in possession of wealthy and influential artists with Carlos Santana, B. King, Gladys Knight, the Frank Sinatra estate, and Phil Collins being some of note.
