VERY RARE VINTAGE BUCK KNIFE 535 "SAWBY" BUCKLOCK 2 LIMITED EDITION/PRODUCTION / NOS 1988. Please Note: Buck knives using the Sawby Locking system have been long discontinued and were recalled by Buck due to Liability concerns with the safety of the Sawby locking system.

Most of these were the 531 and 539 Models that were released and never produced again. This particular Buck 535 Model was barely made with the Sawby Locking System and had wood scales.

This particular one I believe to be 1 of a kind? Either way, an extremely rare knife in Mint Gem Condition. FE ATURES: TWO 420HC SATIN FINISH BLADES.

FACTORY FILE WORKED BACKSPINE AND INNER FRAME PINNED. BOTH BLADES LOCK SOLID AND HAVE NICE SNAP. 4 3/4" CLOSED x 7 3/4" OPEN TO MAIN BLADE. Fun Fact: Scott Sawby who Patented the "Sawby Locking System", has made many, many Custom knives over the years!

Buck simply did not want to produce anymore than were already made and quickly recalled them. Many people did in fact return them, and any person who wanted to keep their Sawby with Bucks name on it had to sign a waiver to free Bucks Liability.
